Enjoy the hidden universe of fermentation all year with a Microbial Portrait of Fermented Foods Calendar!
About: Ferment Pittsburgh in collaboration with Microscopic Imager Donna Stolz of the University of Pittsburgh gathered 12 samples of fermented foods from a variety of local businesses and restaurants, like Legume’s Tempeh and Prescription Food’s Cofir, to produce these striking images using an electron microscope.
We have even added the most important often forgotten holidays of the Northeast such as Ramp and Nettle Pizza day (the day ramp and nettle seasons peak together), Maple Sap Day, and the whole annual line up of Winnowing Wednesdays and Threshing Thursdays for your little homesteading plot.
So what do I do if I want one? Pre-order is from November 1 through November 24th. You may choose to get it delivered or pick it up yourself at Bitter Ends Luncheonette starting December 6th.
Additional calendars will be available after November 24th but only on a limited and first-come basis.
