Enter your chicken, duck, goose, turkey or any other species of fowl into the Pittsburgh County Fair Backyard Poultry Show, presented in Coordination with Chicks in the Hood! Anyone is welcome to participate, but only poultry within the City of Pittsburgh is eligible for awards.
How it Works
Due to current issues with Bird Flu we will be doing a “remote” poultry show where contestants will submit a printed photograph of their entry, and fill out an information card with the bird’s name, breed, age, etc.
Entries will be displayed at the Farm Show tent along with information on keeping poultry in the City of Pittsburgh as well as information on Avian Influenza.
Entering is FREE, with Ribbons for the top three entries and a custom handmade Pgh County Fair Belt Buckle to the overall champion. But moreso, this is a great way for urban poultry enthusiasts to come together, as well as an opportunity for new people to learn more.
Please register below and either upload or bring your printed photographed entry to the Info tent by 12:30pm at the Fair on September 12th. Each household may submit 4 different entries. Online upload entries close on September 9th.
