Learn to save seed while adapting them with your nerighbors in our region!
How it works: We will provide you with saved seeds from our area (arugula or green beans). You will grow them out to the best of your ability all the way back into seeds. We will provide lots of information about how to grow the plants, grow for seeds, and how to process and save your seeds. The information will come as emails and be applicable to many different types of plants. It’ll act as a laid-back seed growing course. There will be support for discussions and any questions that arise.
At the end of all this you should have considerably more seeds than you started with, at which point you will retain some for your future growing and return some to be added to the seed pool for following years.
You will get information on: best practices for growing these plants, general management, lots of information to help you understand the saving of seeds from so many different types of plants, selection and adaptation, plus drying, processing, cleaning, and storing of seeds.
Just: Fill out the form below. Seeds will be distributed by mail or pick up starting April 1. Sign up welcome through May 1. Emails will be sent out with further information.
